Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Tradintell collects, why, who we share it with and your rights. The data controller is [legal name of the owner to be added], [address to be added], Italy. It applies to everyone, including users in the European Union (GDPR) and India (Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023).
What we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, time zone, plan, and login data (managed by our authentication provider). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
- Trading data you add: accounts (name, type, balance, rules), trades, notes, tags, ratings, screenshots, imported files' contents, playbook setups and backtest sessions. We never ask for broker or trading passwords.
- Community data: your Lounge alias and bio, posts, replies, likes, reports, and your discipline score if you join the leaderboard.
- Support and assistant: messages you send to the team. When you use the assistant or AI Coach, your question and the relevant summary of your trading data are sent to our AI provider to produce the answer; we keep a daily count of assistant messages, not the conversation (the chat history stays in your browser).
- Payments: handled by our payment provider; we receive your plan, payment status and country, never full card details.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, and server logs, used for security, abuse prevention and fixing errors.
Why we use it (and the legal basis)
- To provide Tradintell and your plan: storing your journal, calculating statistics, rules, news context, backtests and AI answers (performance of our contract with you).
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and spam, and enforce plan limits and community rules (legitimate interests).
- To answer your support messages (contract and legitimate interests).
- To send essential emails such as password resets and receipts (contract). Marketing emails only with your consent, and you can unsubscribe any time.
- To meet legal obligations such as tax and accounting records (legal obligation).
We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers who process it for us under contract (“processors”):
- Supabase: database, authentication and file storage (servers in the Mumbai, India region).
- Vercel: website hosting and serving the app.
- Anthropic: AI features (assistant, AI Coach, reviews), only when you use them.
- Our payment provider: subscriptions and invoices.
- Our email provider: sending account emails.
- Google: only if you choose “Sign in with Google”.
Market data providers (for prices, calendars and economic results) receive no personal data. Other Lounge members see only your alias, posts and anything you choose to share. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
International transfers
Some providers process data outside your country (for example in India, the United States or the EU). Where data leaves the EU, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except what we must keep for legal reasons (for example invoices, usually up to 10 years under Italian law). Server logs are kept for a short period for security.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export (portability) or delete your data, to restrict or object to some processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Users in India can also nominate someone to exercise these rights on their behalf. To use any right, message the team from the chat bubble; we reply within 30 days. You can also complain to a data protection authority, in Italy the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or in India the Data Protection Board of India.
Cookies and local storage
We use only what's needed to run the app: a login session cookie, and your browser's local storage for preferences such as the light/dark theme, chart theme and assistant chat history. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics, we'll update this policy and ask for consent where required.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, and database access rules keep each user's data private to their account. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
Tradintell is for adults (18+). We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
We'll post any changes here and tell you in the app or by email if they're significant.
